The new packaging of Tudia Lactate products is part of the 20 years anniversary rebranding project of the company. Tudia Lactate wanted a fresh image of their goods that would express a complete identity across their products and at the same time, it would keep parts of their old packaging to resemble their origins, easy to be identified by their customers.
The inspiration for the package design comes from the fields of Bucovina plain and the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region. The main design of the illustrations on the labels is the iconic Bucovina landscape which includes the land, farms, cows, carriages, and animals.
The design of the packaging developed an elegant, simple message which has a certain freshness and character that represents the product while making the packaging look premium and timeless. The colour palette is derived from the tones and notes of flavour found in the old packaging. The labels have been designed to be simple and fresh without too many direct motifs of the region that you would normally see on other traditional products.
The packaging was created for 24 different products with various weights and assortments – in total, a collection of 60 labels. The packaging design focused on expressing a real story about how the diary goods are produced by following the same old traditions of Bucovina’s farmers. The illustrations and colours used in the packaging were created to illustrate three main characters that are portraying traditional Romanian occupations: the woman that collects the milk, the milk mowing, and the cow grazing. The products can now be found in most of the supermarkets under the new labels.
The collection contains 24 products of the cheese, yoghurt, sour cream, and special dairy products. In total there were created 60 different labels for all weights and assortments of the goods. For example, there is Rucar, Penteleu, Delia, Dalia, Bradut cheese for 60 and 90 diameter, with and without specific weight.
